I’m looking at buying a 2000 100 series with the 1FZ-FE on lpg, now i don’t know if the heads are set up for gas, but a workshop we deal with are saying the heads have issues on gas sometimes, can you explain the difference, is it just stonger valves etc, and how can i tell without pulling the head off if it is set up for gas?

Your price to Recondition your head is $780.00, if your head needs to be converted to LPG then the price is $1190.00. Unfortunately there is no way to tell if your head is all ready converted until the head is removed from the vehicle. For LPG you need harder inserts than stock factory ones.
